This good news is an extraordinary gift for the entire academic community of Pradita Dirgantara High School. The year 2021 is shaping up to be the most celebratory. The MURI record for SBMPTN 2021, the accomplishments in Catar AAU/AAL, Akpol, and the acceptance of alumni at various foreign universities are remarkable achievements for 2021.
For those aspiring to pass the scholarship selection, here are tips and strategies employed by one of Pradita Dirgantara High School's students, M. Fawwaz Ghazy, who gained admission to the University of Chicago with a full scholarship:
Determine your interests and goals
Define your interests and goals: Fawwaz, who has been passionate about watching World War II documentaries since childhood, is drawn to peace-related issues and aspires to contribute.
He delved into the official website of the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs from the end of his second year to the beginning of his third year in high school to identify degree programs aligned with his desired profession.
This led him to discover study programs such as law and international relations.
Pay attention to your interests and talents
Hone in on your interests and talents: Fawwaz found that while applying for scholarships, a psychological test administered at Pradita Dirgantara High Schoolaided in clarifying his interests and talents. If such a test isn't conducted at your school, consider seeking an interest and talent assessment at a Community Health Center (Puskesmas) offering psychological services, or at a university's psychology department or an independent psychology bureau that conducts such evaluations.
Look for inspiration from your role models
Identify a role model: Fawwaz gained confidence in his chosen major and profession upon hearing the impactful story of Indonesian Permanent Representative to the United Nations (PTRI) in New York, Silvany Austin Pasaribu. Her response to Vanuatu Prime Minister Bob Loughman regarding human rights violations in West Papua at the United Nations General Assembly in September 2020 made headlines.
Set priorities, study domestically or abroad?
Establish priorities: Study domestically or abroad? In selecting a destination campus, Fawwaz consulted university rankings based on his intended major. You can explore the top global universities overall, according to your specific major, based on graduates' employment outcomes, and using other criteria on ranking agency websites such as QS World University Rankings and THE World University Rankings.
