PRESS RELEASE
45/HUMAS/SMA PRADITA DIRGANTARA/VI/2023

On June 25th, Slamet Riyadi Street in Solo City came alive with a unique spectacle as Car Free Day (CFD) unfolded. An array of participants from the SMA Pradita Dirgantara Solo in Boyolali (Pradita Dirgantara High School) community, numbering in the hundreds, gathered to animate the customary Sunday CFD event. The landscape was further enhanced by the sight of 146 senior students, clad in complete graduation regalia, adding a touch of blue to the scene.

During the CFD event, Pradita Dirgantara High School showcased a cultural procession under the theme "Peace Through Culture," with the participation of all students, teachers, and staff. This cultural parade aimed to highlight the diverse Indonesian cultures represented within Pradita Dirgantara High School. As the top school in Central Java (Jateng), Pradita Dirgantara High School boasts a student body hailing from all corners of the archipelago.

This cultural procession is part of the Carnival of Education, Art, and Culture 2023, specially organized to commemorate the 5th anniversary of Pradita Dirgantara High School, celebrated annually on July 11.

Colonel Adm. Ari Presmena Tarigan, the CEO and Development Director of Pradita Dirgantara High School, who was also present at the CFD, expressed that this procession aimed to satisfy Solo residents' longing for Pradita Dirgantara High School. "I still remember, back when our school first opened in 2018, we were present at the CFD. We are here to express our gratitude to all those who supported the realization of this cultural parade," stated Tarigan.

Tarigan further emphasized that Pradita Dirgantara High School provides an exceptional educational environment. He pointed out that at Pradita, students engage with an international curriculum. What's particularly noteworthy is that nearly all 12th-grade students who took part in the cultural parade have not only passed the SNBT UTBK 2023, but also achieved an impressive 87.50 percent acceptance rate into 14 universities across Indonesia.

"Not only have they passed the SNBT UTBK, but a significant number of Pradita students have also been accepted into foreign universities with fully-funded scholarships from the Advancing Indonesia Scholarship," clarified Tarigan.

Starting at 6 in the morning, the cultural procession followed a route from the Ngarsopura intersection, concluding at Loji Gandrung. In this cultural parade, Pradita Dirgantara High School also presented a marching band, flag bearers (Paskibra), and a parade showcasing the traditional customs and cultures of the community. There were also musical corps, mounted troops, and palace soldiers, all contributing to the excitement along the route from the Ngarsopuro intersection to Loji Gandrung.

Through this cultural procession, Pradita Dirgantara High School invited the entire Solo community to attend the Bright Sky Concert at Manahan Stadium on July 8, 2023, featuring several top artists including Tulus, JKT48, Topik Sudirman, and Putri Ariani, who recently made waves on America’s Got Talent 2023.
