Official Recognition: SMA Pradita Dirgantara Achieves the Status of an International Baccalaureate World School

Boyolali - After navigating a winding 10-month journey, Pradita Dirgantara High School has officially attained the status of an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School. This news was received by the management team on August 23, 2021, through an official email from the IB Organization addressed to the Director of the Directorate of Development, Dwi A. Yuliantoro.

Dwi revealed that Pradita Dirgantara High School officially became an IB world school after completing comprehensive verifications from various aspects since June 2020.

"The candidacy process began in June 2020. Then, the IB consultant continuously monitored and assisted the process from September 2020 to April 2021," explained Dwi.

Dwi added that after the candidacy process, a consultation verification process was still required in February 2021 as a final simulation verification. In the most crucial process, on July 28-29, 2021, IB expert Toni Hewitt (team leader) and Amira Dzulkafli (verification team member) conducted the authorization verification visit virtually to Pradita Dirgantara High School. In this process, all stakeholders answered all the questions posed during the interview process by the two IB experts.

According to Dwi, the IB curriculum has the capability to encourage students to have a global perspective, be open-minded, possess character, and be sensitive to social issues. Thus, students will become productive young generations in creating a better world by prioritizing respect and intercultural understanding. intercultural understanding.

Furthermore, IB is also a school ecosystem framework, not limited to just the curriculum. The IB Organization reviews the school's vision, mission, curriculum, facilities, and the school's relationships with stakeholders based on various established standards.

"The IB framework remains in line with the national education curriculum. Collaboration and integration are the keys between the national curriculum and IB," emphasized Dwi.

After officially becoming an IB World School, Pradita Dirgantara High School is expected to produce students who are not only intellectually bright but also potential world leaders with character, who will later make positive contributions to the global community.
