Boyolali – Kirana Marwadhika, a student from Pradita Dirgantara High School, has recently clinched the second position in the National Youth Research Competition (LPB) 2021 at the provincial level in Central Java. This competition, organized by the Center for Young Scientists (CYS), encompasses a range of fields including Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Life Sciences, Environmental Studies, Sociology, Economics, History, Psychology, and Geography.

In this contest, Kirana chose the field of History, titling her article "In Search of Garuda's Wings on the Horizon of Dusk: Suryadi Suryadarma and AURI's Struggle in the Era of Defending Indonesia's Independence 1945-1949". According to the schedule, Kirana is scheduled to progress to the national level on November 14, 2020.

"I didn't expect to make it, Sir. My preparation was tight, and the participants were also diverse and intelligent," Kirana expressed during her meeting with the school's PR team on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, following the routine morning speech at Pradita Dirgantara High School.

Meanwhile, Panji Haryo Kusumo, a history teacher who accompanied Kirana, explained that this competition is an annual event and is part of the selection process for the national team heading towards three prestigious international research competitions in 2021: the International Conference of Young Scientists (Belgrade), the Asia Pacific Conference of Young Scientists (Macao), and the International Conference of Young Social Scientists (Turkey).

The National Youth Research Competition also provides an opportunity for participants to share knowledge with various experts from different fields of study. More importantly, according to Panji, this competition can help build students' character.
