PRADITA DIRGANTARA SMA (Boyolali) —SMA Pradita Dirgantara received a visit from a delegation from the Al Azhar Islamic Boarding School Foundation Jakarta in the context of a comparative study of the IB (International Baccalaureate) curriculum which has been implemented at SMA Pradita Dirgantara. The visit took place on Tuesday, 20 October 2020 at the Pradita Dirgantara Directorate room.
Attending the visit, officials from the Al Azhar Islamic Boarding School Foundation included Nuri Muhammadi (Head of the Directorate of Basic Education), Gunanto (Head of the Foundation for Cooperation), Udin Syamsudin (Head of SMA Al Azhar 3 Kebayoran Baru Jakarta) and the team, Kartika (Director of Al Education Azhar Solobaru), Head of facilities and infrastructure, IT sector and Al Azhar High School teacher. Meanwhile, SMA Pradita Dirgantara also welcomed the Director of Development of Pradita Dirgantara School, Dwi Agus Yuliantoro, Ph.D, the Principal of SMA Pradita Dirgantara, Dr. Yulianto Hadi, Quality Assurance Manager Dr. Sutanto and school representatives for academic affairs, M. Ridwan Aziz, M.Pd.
Dwi Yulianto Ph.D, Director of School Development Pradita Dirgantara, expressed his appreciation at the meeting and introduced SMA Pradita Dirgantara to all delegates. “We want SMA Pradita Dirgantara graduates to continue studying around the world and not only join domestic communities. Therefore SMA Pradita initiated cooperation with various parties such as the French Embassy which has an MOU today, as well as with Japan, Korea, Australia, Germany and several other countries which we will initiate soon. In accordance with the tagline of SMA Pradita Dirgantara The School For World Future Leaders, we want SMA Pradita Dirgantara graduates to become world leaders. The application of the IB curriculum at SMA Pradita Dirgantara does not only prepare students to enter PTN but beyond PTN itself, such as the skills needed to succeed and survive in college and the world of work. In providing the IB curriculum, we prepare students to have global competence but still adhere to the values of the nation and of course with its hallmark, namely aerospace “. Dwi Yulianto said.
Nuri Muhammadi as Head of the Directorate of Primary and Secondary Education at the Al Azhar Foundation conveyed the purpose of their arrival at SMA Pradita, “We want to gain insight into the IB curriculum that has been implemented in SMA Pradita Dirgantara. The results of the discussion gave us a lot of knowledge, insight and enthusiasm that the application of the IB curriculum in SMA Pradita Dirgantara was adjusted to the desired learning profile and then integrated it with the subjects to be given. We have the same structure as SMA Pradita Dirgantara so this meeting is very useful and provides new insights for us to develop the right curriculum by looking for the essence of the IB, Cambridge and national curriculum and our distinctive features at Al Azhar “, said Nuri Muhammad.
