SMA PRADITA DIRGANTARA (Boyolali) – As a form of serious internationalization, and to realize its commitment to become a world-class senior secondary education institution, SMA Pradita Dirgantara held a Socialization for College to Germany, on Tuesday, November 03, 2020. This activity was carried out in collaboration with SMA Pradita Dirgantara with the German Academic Exchange Service or DAAD ((Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst) headquartered in Bonn, Germany.
The event, which was held through the Zoom application, was attended by 235 participants consisting of students and students. Mrs. Nanny Hadi Tjahjanto, General Chairperson of Yasarini in her crisis said that the late B.J. Habibie, Indonesia’s third president is a graduate of the German RWTH (Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule Aachen). The theories created by president B.J Habibie are used as reference theories used in the aircraft industry around the world. “At a young age, SMA Pradita Dirgantara shows extraordinary academic and non-academic achievements. I personally hope and pray that in the future a new Habibie-Habibie will be born from SMA Pradita Dirgantara. “Said Mrs. Nanny. This socialization also motivates the students of SMA Pradita Dirgantara to become the golden generation, the next generation who can be called nation, religion, parents, and alma mater.
The speaker at this webinar is Olivia Jeane Sopacua, Program Officer of DAAD German Academic Exchange Service. Olivia in her presentation said that based on records in 2019, of the 20 countries that contributed to foreign students in Germany, DAAD was currently ranked 20th with more than 5,000 Indonesians studying in Germany. “We hope that the webinar participants will contribute foreign students from Indonesia for the next 2 or 3 years,” Olivia said. He also said that in 2019 there were more than 500 people receiving funding assistance from DAAD, in the form of research funds or postgraduate and doctoral scholarships. DAAD is an independent organization with funds from several German Ministries.
This event was moderated by Lena Citra Manggalasari, S.Pd. M.A., Head of Domestic and Foreign Cooperation, Directorate of Development of SMA Pradita Dirgantara. “For the next step, SMA Pradita Dirgantara will hold intensive German learning for students who are interested in further study in Germany. This is to make it easier for students to prepare for their studies in Germany.
